Sarà un girone C di serie C ancora piu’ centromeridionale quello della stagione 2019/2020. Dall’Umbria alla Sicilia, passando per Lazio, Abruzzo, Campania, Puglia, Basilicata e Calabria. Chilometri e chilometri di distanze da colmare inseguendo il proprio obiettivo. Il Bari di De Laurentis ed il Catanzaro di Noto sembrano partire in pole per la promozione diretta in serie B. Subito dopo le ambiziose Catania, Reggina e Ternana. L’Avellino è ancora un rebus, alle prese con i problemi societari. Un’altra incognita è la Casertana, che si augura di non ripetere gli errori dello scorso anno. Partirà probabilmente piu’ ambiziosa la Viterbese, che lo scorso anno, per via di diverse vicissitudini, è partita ad handicap. Il Teramo puo’ dire la sua mentre la Cavese, affidata a Moriero, nutre speranze playoff. Idem il Potenza che si sta rinforzando sul mercato. La Vibonese si è affidata a un tecnico competente, Giacomo Modica. Ridimensionato, almeno finora, il Monopoli, per via delle numerose partenze. I lucani del Picerno, matricola assoluta in serie C, proveranno a firmare l’impresa salvezza. Partono in seconda fascia Rieti, Rende, Paganese e Sicula Leonzio.
Il 4 agosto si scaldano i motori con la Coppa Italia.
