VIBO VALENTIA. Il prefetto di Vibo Valentia, Giovanni Bruno, con apposito decreto prefettizio ha proceduto alla convocazione dei comizi elettorali per l’elezione diretta di 10 sindaci del Vibonese e per il rinnovo di altrettanti Consigli comunali che avverrà domenica 31 maggio. I Comuni chiamati al rinnovo degli organi elettivi sono quelli di: Vibo Valentia, Acquaro, Cessaniti, Ionadi, Limbadi, Monterosso Calabro, San Calogero (che esce da un commissariamento per mafia), Spilinga, Zaccanopoli e Zambrone. Nel solo Comune di Vibo Valentia, l’unico superiore ai 15mila abitanti, è previsto un eventuale turno di ballottaggio – che si terrà il 14 giugno – nel caso in cui nessuno dei candidati a sindaco raggiunga al primo turno il 50% più uno dei consensi. A seguito della riforma sugli enti locali, il numero di consiglieri comunali da eleggere nella città capoluogo passa da 40 a 32 consiglieri, mentre 10 saranno i consiglieri comunali da eleggere a Zambrone, Zaccanopoli, Spilinga e Monterosso Calabro. Dodici, invece, i consiglieri comunali da eleggere ad Acquaro, Ionadi, Limbadi e San Calogero. Le operazioni di voto si svolgeranno nella sola giornata di domenica 31 maggio dalle ore 7 alle 23.
