TARSIA. Il Comune di Tarsia ha chiesto alla Regione Calabria un finanziamento per avviare la fase di progettazione del cimitero internazionale dei migranti. Lo rende noto il leader del Movimento Diritti Civili, Franco Corbelli. “Nuovi sbarchi di migranti e, purtroppo, nuove vittime sconosciute – afferma Corbelli – che saranno seppellite in sperduti cimiteri, che ne cancelleranno per sempre ogni riferimento e ogni ricordo. Questa disumanità sta per essere cancellata con la costruzione a Tarsia, in Calabria, del cimitero internazionale dei migranti. Per la realizzazione di questa importante opera umanitaria si muovono i primi passi concreti. Spero adesso che le Istituzioni preposte facciano il loro dovere e finanzino l’importante struttura cimiteriale, di grande valore umanitario”. “Oggi, grazie alla sensibilità umana – prosegue – e istituzionale, del sindaco di Tarsia, Roberto Ameruso, e della sua giunta, c’è il primo passo concreto per la realizzazione del cimitero dei migranti. Il comune di Tarsia chiede alla Regione Calabria un primo finanziamento per avviare la fase di progettazione dell’importante opera umanitaria per dare una degna sepoltura a tutti quei migranti che, mentre cercano di arrivare in Italia, fuggendo dalla miseria, dalle guerre e dalle persecuzioni, perdono la vita in mare”. Il 25 aprile scorso, in occasione della Festa di Liberazione, Corbelli, il sindaco Ameruso e il vicesindaco, Gianfranco Iusi, avevano mostrato per la prima volta ufficialmente l’area dove dovrebbe sorgere il cimitero di migranti, accanto all’ex campo di internamento di Ferramonti.
