CATANZARO. “È senz’altro urgente riorganizzare la Protezione Civile e non c’è motivo di ritenere che si stia lavorando, utilizzando la giuste abilità e competenze, per renderla efficace ed efficiente al servizio di una regione la cui storia è fortemente segnata da eventi calamitosi. Ma francamente sfuggono la ratio, il perché e le finalità della decisione di smantellare i presidi della Protezione civile in due territori come Crotone e Vibo Valentia che purtroppo ed in particolare per quanto concerne le calamità naturali, non possono considerarsi isole felici”. Lo afferma la consigliera regionale di Calabria in Rete Flora Sculco . “Lunedì in aula, nel corso della seduta del Consiglio regionale, chiederò – annuncia – al presidente Oliverio le ragioni per cui il dirigente del settore ha deciso di smantellare i presidi della Protezione civile di Crotone e Vibo Valentia. Tornando al metodo, spesso più importante del merito – aggiunge la consigliera regionale – è davvero singolare, tra l’altro non si comprende a chi possa giovare, l’abitudine di assumere decisioni (la cui valenza può anche essere fondata) che interessano interi territori, saltando a piè pari non solo i consiglieri regionali, ma persino gli organismi del Consiglio regionale, in questo caso la IV Commissione, che hanno competenze specifiche e debbono poter esercitare le loro prerogative istituzionali”.
