REGGIO CALABRIA. Il sindaco di Reggio Calabria, Giuseppe Falcomatà, ha visitato la sede della Direzione marittima dove è stato accolto dal direttore, Gaetano Martinez. “L’incontro – è scritto in una nota della Direzione marittima – è stata l’occasione per rinnovare il sinergico impegno per lo sviluppo della città e in particolare delle attività legate al mare, sulla base della comune convinzione che il porto e le attività che si svolgono lungo la costa costituiscono fattore determinante per il futuro di Reggio Calabria”. Nello specifico, il Sindaco e il Direttore marittimo hanno discusso delle prospettive di sviluppo delle attività portuali, con particolare riferimento alla crocieristica e alla nautica da diporto; della tutela delle aree demaniali marittime, delle problematiche legate ai flussi migratori, della mobilità nell’area dello Stretto e della depurazione. L’incontro si è concluso con il tradizionale dono al sindaco Falcomatà del “crest” della Direzione marittima.
