Si infiamma la campagna elettorale. Tra Renzi e Di Maio è scontro a distanza tra newsletter e social. “Mancano 24 giorni alle elezioni e mentre l’Italia è giustamente stregata da Sanremo noi continuiamo con la campagna elettorale. Qualcuno di voi mi ha scritto: qual è il vero obiettivo del Pd? Diciamolo con forza: noi vogliamo arrivare primi. Punto. Vogliamo essere il primo partito, vogliamo essere il primo gruppo parlamentare. La partita per il primo posto sul proporzionale, che assegnerà la grande maggioranza dei seggi, non riguarda Berlusconi e neppure Salvini. È una sfida a due, tra noi e i Cinque Stelle”, scrive Matteo Renzi nella Enews. A distanza risponde Di Maio. “Gli scenari post voto sono due: o il M5s va al governo o il caos”, dice il candidato premier dei Cinquestelle Luigi Di Maio in un videomessaggio.. “Renzi e Berlusconi – aggiunge – hanno capito che insieme non faranno il 51 per cento e dicono che si tornerà a votare. Sono degli irresponsabili perché questa situazione l’hanno creata loro apposta per fare l’inciucio dopo il governo, ma ora che sanno che non riusciranno sono nel panico e non hanno nessun piano B. Io sono fiducioso, molto fiducioso, in questi 25 giorni tutto può cambiare e possiamo arrivare ad avere la maggioranza”.
