CATANZARO. Alla XIX edizione del salone internazionale dell’alimentazione che si svolgerà a Parma dal 7 al 10 maggio, la Regione Calabria sarà presente insieme a quarantacinque aziende. La Calabria presenta al mondo i suoi gioielli agroalimentari con tre giorni di eventi, sei cooking show, nove degustazioni e la presenza di quarantacinque aziende produttrici, in rappresentanza delle sue ventisette tra Dop e Igp e di molte altre tipicità, legate in modo indissolubile alla lingua di terra compresa tra Tirreno e Ionio. La partecipazione a Cibus 2018 è organizzata dalla Regione Calabria attraverso il Dipartimento Agricoltura e Risorse Agroalimentari, in collaborazione con Arsac, l’Azienda Regionale per lo Sviluppo in Agricoltura. La presenza alla manifestazione di Parma costituisce una nuova importante occasione per la promozione del brand Rosso Calabria, finalizzato alla valorizzazione dei prodotti di qualità, dei territori e della cultura calabrese. “Cibus rappresenta una vetrina internazionale prestigiosa per i prodotti agroalimentari calabresi – afferma il presidente della Regione Calabria Mario Oliverio – per i quali è sempre più importante farsi conoscere all’estero. Del resto la Calabria, patria della Dieta Mediterranea – sottolinea Oliverio – nonché la seconda produttrice di olio extravergine d’oliva in Italia, non poteva mancare ad un appuntamento così importante. Nella nostra regione c’è un rinnovato interesse per l’agricoltura e l’agroalimentare: molti giovani stanno tornando a lavorare la terra e a cimentarsi in nuove avventure imprenditoriali e noi come istituzione, anche attraverso la partecipazione a questo tipo di manifestazione, intendiamo supportarli”. Un percorso gastronomico, a Cibus, che partirà da quelli che sono stati indicati dalla chef, ristoratrice e influencer italo-americana Lidia Bastianich, come i “cibi trendy” del 2018: la ‘nduja di Spilinga, il caciocavallo silano Dop, la liquirizia di Rossano Dop ed il bergamotto di Reggio Calabria Dop. Percorso che proseguirà per le altre produzioni calabresi di qualità, ritenute dalla stessa Bastianich, testimonial della Calabria non solo negli Stati Uniti, ma nel mondo intero, “estremamente ricche di personalità e salutari”. Parliamo ad esempio della Cipolla rossa di Tropea Igp Calabria e della Patata della Sila Igp, dell’olio extravergine d’oliva Igp – l’ultima preziosa certificazione ottenuta in ordine di tempo – del Pecorino crotonese Dop, dei fichi dottati del cosentino Dop, delle clementine Igp, prodotti già ben inseriti nei mercati nazionali ed esteri, ma con ancora un ampio potenziale di crescita.
