Nel corso della nottata di lunedì, a Vibo Valentia e Cessaniti, i Carabinieri della locale Compagnia hanno condotto un’operazione per l’esecuzione di un’ordinanza di custodia cautelare in carcere emessa nei confronti di due persone di Cessaniti e San Costantino. I due sono ritenuti gli autori di una serie di furti e rapine compiute in appartamenti nel vibonese. Le indagini sono state condotte dai Carabinieri del Nucleo operativo e radiomobile della Compagnia di Vibo Valentia congiuntamente alla Stazione di San Costantino Calabro.
Gli arrestati sono Fabrizio Greco, 42 anni, di San Costantino Calabro, e Armando Petrolo, 52 anni di Cessaniti.Fabrizio Greco era già detenuto dal 29 gennaio scorso con l’accusa di tentata rapina ai danni di un automobilista di Ionadi. Quattro i furti contestati. I due arrestati si sarebbero impossessati di gioielli e contanti per un valore di duemila euro andando poi a rivendere i preziosi in un negozio di “Compro Oro”. Il titolare, però, insospettito, si è rivolto ai Carabinieri che hanno avviato le indagini ricostruendo le attività criminose. Nel caso di una rapina ai danni di un anziano, i due malviventi non hanno esitato ad allagargli la casa per farlo uscire sul pianerottolo e dirigersi dal tetto sin dento la cucina per rubare 30 euro.
