RENDE. Il sindaco di Rende, Marcello Manna, ha firmato un’ordinanza con oggetto la rimozione dei rifiuti dal sito occupato dalla ex Legnochimica dalla quale si diffondono fumi che in queste giornate di fine estate stanno interessando la zona. L’ordinanza, si apprende da una nota del Comune, è stata spedita al liquidatore della Società Legnochimica Srl e vi si legge che “l’avvio delle operazioni di rimozione dei rifiuti presenti nei bacini numero 4-5 devono essere fatte entro il termine di 15 giorni dal ricevimento del provvedimento”. Considerando anche il fatto che “la Società Legnochimica s.r.l in liquidazione , proprietaria dell’area, non ha eseguito alcun intervento in ottemperanza alle diffide e per l’eliminazione delle cause dell’emissione dei fumi dai bacini artificiali e l’emissione dei fumi e l’accendersi degli incendi possono essere arrestati con la rimozione dei rifiuti depositati nei bacini n. 4 e 5”, il sindaco di Rende, spiega la nota, ha messo in pratica il comma 5 dell’articolo 50 del D.lgs n.267/2000 che prevede “in caso di emergenze sanitarie o di igiene pubblica a carattere esclusivamente locale le ordinanze contenibili e urgenti sono adottate dal sindaco, quale rappresentante della comunità locale”. Per il 16 settembre è prevista la convocazione da parte del Prefetto della conferenza dei servizi alla presenzas di tutti gli enti interessati.
