CATANZARO/ I penalisti terranno la loro inaugurazione dell’anno giudiziario, alternativa a quella che si celebra nei palazzi di giustizia, a Catanzaro, l’11 e il 12 febbraio. Un appuntamento per discutere “su quanto la tutela forte del diritto di difesa sia indispensabile non solo quale garanzia per i diritti primari della persona indagata o imputata, ma altrettanto – e per certi versi ancor di più – come garanzia per il giudice, per la sua indipendenza, e per la forza e la credibilità del suo giudizio agli occhi della pubblica opinione”. L’iniziativa è annunciata in un post su Facebook dal presidente dell’Unione delle Camere Penali Italiane Giandomenico Caiazza , che ricorda che da 15 anni gli avvocati hanno scelto di organizzarsi per conto loro in dissenso verso cerimonie in cui i “Presidenti (di Corte di Appello o di Cassazione) e Procuratori (Generali) agiscono e si propongono come i padroni di casa; l’Avvocatura è ospite, giusto chiamata a portare un qualche breve indirizzo di saluto. Un quadro francamente inaccettabile”.
