CATANZARO. “La riapertura della Parrocchia “Maria Immacolata” del quartiere Pontegrande ha rappresentato un momento di grande partecipazione per l’intera comunità il cui contributo è stato fondamentale per consentire l’ultimazione dei lavori dopo la chiusura dell’edificio per motivi di inagibilità. Oggi il luogo di culto del quartiere ha potuto riaprire le proprie porte ai fedeli che nel corso degli ultimi mesi, nonostante i pesanti disagi e il periodo di forte crisi, non hanno fatto mancare il proprio sostegno attraverso delle donazioni periodiche e interventi utili ai fini della realizzazione di una grande opera. Voglio ringraziare tutti i residenti, il parroco don Carlo Davoli e, non per ultimo, l’arcivescovo, mons. Vincenzo Bertolone, che nel corso dell’omelia ha esortato tutta la comunità a dare seguito alla collaborazione e all’impegno profusi nell’interesse comune di migliorare la qualità della vita del quartiere. E’ questo un bell’esempio di come la sinergia fra istituzioni, mondo della chiesa e società civile possa contribuire a preservare e a tutelare il territorio e gli spazi che ne custodiscono le radici identitarie e che continuano a costituire punti di riferimento e luoghi di aggregazione sociale importanti per tutte le generazioni”.
