CATANZARO. “L’incendio della biblioteca annessa alla scuola del Comune di San Procopio è un atto vile che offende la comunità locale e la società civile calabrese”. E’ quanto afferma il presidente della Regione Mario Oliverio – informa una nota dell’Ufficio – commentando l’attentato incendiario ai danni della scuola del Comune di San Procopio che ha provocato diversi danni e il crollo del controsoffitto. “Esprimo la piena solidarietà della Giunta regionale e mia personale – prosegue Oliverio – al sindaco Eduardo Lamberti Castronovo ed ai cittadini del paese pianigiano. Non possiamo fare passare sotto silenzio questo ed altri attentati contro Istituzioni ed amministratori pubblici sia che si tratti di tentativi di intimidazione mafiosa che di episodi di violenza comune. La Calabria deve difendere le ragioni della democrazia, della convivenza civile, della crescita culturale delle proprie comunità. La Giunta regionale, che della battaglia per la legalità e per la ricostruzione di un nuovo spirito pubblico fondato su un rinnovato rapporto tra i cittadini e le Istituzioni fa un punto fondamentale del proprio programma, si farà promotrice di ogni azione utile perché si proceda all’immediato ripristino della biblioteca comunale e delle attività annesse”.
